This roundtable, will operate under the Chatham House Rule, and will be held on Tuesday 18 October at the University of Canberra, Innovation Centre, Building 23, Level B, Room 5 and 6 commencing at 10am with tea and coffee and continuing until 12.30pm.
Scott Streiner, is a senior official with the Government of Canada and is currently on assignment as a Public Servant-in-Residence – a sort of Visiting Fellow -- in the Department of Political Science at Carleton University. Dr. Streiner’s positions with the Government of Canada have included Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy, Dispute Resolution, and International Affairs with the Labour Program, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada; Vice President, Program Delivery with the Canadian Environmental Assessment; Director General, Human Resources Strategies and Programs in the Department of Fisheries and Oceans; Director of Operations for the Reference Group of Ministers on Aboriginal Policy and Advisor in the Machinery of Government Secretariat, both in the Privy Council Office; and Director of Pay Equity with the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
Dr. Streiner has a Ph.D. in Political Science from Carleton University, an MA in International Relations from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, and a BA in East Asian Studies from the Hebrew University.
