Globalisation and Cities Research Program to Undertake New Research for ACT

The ANZSOG Institute for Governance is pleased to announce that the Globalisation and Cities Research Program will undertake a new research for the ACT.

Titled “Housing and Sustainable Development in the ACT Region”, this research will inform the planning and development of the West Belconnen Project, a 20 plus year property development effort across the border of The ACT and NSW. News about this important property project is available here.

This research is funded by the ACT Land Development Agency and Reid & Stevens Pty through the project manager Riverview Group. The research team includes, Mr Shaun Allen, Mr Lucas Carmody, Professor Mark Evans, Dr Richard Hu, Dr Hitomi Nakanishi, and Professor Lawrence Pratchett.

The Housing and Sustainable Development in the ACT Region project is the first major project the Globalisation and Cities Program will undertake in the Canberra region.

This project is a firm step towards the Program’s goal of “becoming a Canberra-based urban research hub with national leadership and international reputation”.
