Lucy J. Parry is a Research Associate with Participedia, a global project documenting and analysing democratic innovations and participatory processes. Her current research working with Selen Ercan investigates the broad impacts of deliberative mini-publics and considers how the Participedia database can be used to enhance qualitative research in this area.
Lucy completed her PhD at the University of Sheffield in 2017 with a deliberative systems analysis of the British foxhunting debate. Her research interests also include deliberative democracy, animal ethics and Q methodology and she has published academic articles across these topics.
Lucy lives in Vienna, Austria with her family and splits her time between Participedia and Webster Vienna Private University where she works as a tutor in academic writing and English, supporting students with all aspects of written assessments. She is currently on parental leave until March 2020.Back to Members
