Lorna graduated with a degree in Public Administration from Glasgow University in the UK and has worked in University administration ever since. She joined NATSEM as the Business Manager in 2009. Prior to her arrival in Australia, she was the Administration Manager in the Department of Biology at the University of York for 15 years.
NATSEM merged with ANZSIG in 2014 to become the much larger Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis (IGPA) - a world-class research institution specialising in the study and practice of governance and public policy. She was IGPA's Business Manager (Research) and, as such, managed the administration required for the delivery of all IGPA’s research activities, including financial operations, business activities, human resource management, policies and procedures, HDR student administration, contracts and corporate planning and reporting. She was also involved in the implementation of the business components of IGPA's strategic directions.
In 2018, IGPA merged in to become part of the Faculty of Business, Government and Law where Lorna now works as the Faculty's Research Manager.
