About the Speaker

Evi Fitriani is the head of the International Relations Department Faculty of Social and Political Sciences University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia. She is the co-founder of the ASEAN Study Center, University of Indonesia. She also holds a position of the Indonesia's Country Coordinator of the Network of East Asian Think Tanks (NEAT). She helped established the master program on European Studies at the University of Indonesia and has been one of the peer-group in the program.

Her professional education includes Bachelor of Arts in International Relation Studies from the International Relations Department, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia in 1992. She then received Master of Arts in Modern International Studies from the Institute of International Studies, Leeds University, the UK in 1994 under the British Chevening Award. She also obtained Master of Arts in Southeast Asia Studies Program from the Center for International Studies Ohio University the U.S. in 1995 with the Fulbright Scholarship. She accomplished a PhD Program in Political Sciences and International Relations in the Crawford School of Economics and Government, the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia, in 2011, supported by Australian Development Scholarship (ADS). Previously, Dr. Fitriani served as the Head of International Office of the University of Indonesia, Secretary of the University's Senate, and member of the University's Task Force on Autonomy.
