THESIS TITLE
"Overvaluation of Australian Housing : Determinants And Impacts"
THESIS DESCRIPTION
As part of my PhD research I want to investigate and critically examine the housing boom in Australia ,specially in the past decade. The economists are considering it as a bubble and predicting a bubble crash but even that doesn’t seem to be eventuated. On the other hand this is posing a great fiancial, social and economic risk thereby screening out a generation of Australians out of housing market. My study would attempt to explain why the houses are being overvalued. Is it what is thought of from within economy. i.e. supply shortage, high demand due to low interest rates, tax policy etc or something else
