Graduate Certificate Programs for Australian Governments
IGPA offers a range of bespoke graduate training programs to meet the needs of public servants at all stages in their careers, including the Graduate Certificate in Public Administration, Graduate Certificate in Public Policy and Finance, and the Graduate Certificate in Policy and Data.
The programs provide core professional skills in policy and public management, developed in response to the professional development priorities outlined in recent APS review processes. We achieve this by combining the experience of leading academics and senior practitioners, to deliver high quality education and training that makes a significant difference to public servants’ careers.
Since 2011, IGPA has seen over 1000 public servants graduate from its graduate certificate program through contracts with the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Department of Agriculture, Department of Communications and the Arts, Department of Finance, Department of Industry, Department of Infrastructure, Department of Social Services, and the ACT Public Service.
We currently deliver the following Graduate Certificate Programs:
- Graduate Certificate in Public Administration for the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications.
- Graduate Certificate in Public Policy and Finance for the Australian Public Sector. This course was designed with the Department of Finance and other agencies to develop policy and management skills in future leaders across the APS.
- Graduate Certificate in Policy and Data. This course was designed with the Department of Social Services to develop advanced policy and data analysis skills among its workforce.
We can also design bespoke graduate certificate and other programs with agencies to meet current and future needs.
